visual work: digital drawings: #saymyname

We have grown used to the hashtags #SayHerName for the people who have already left us far too soon. It is important to say each name, and honour each death, no matter how relentless.

These portraits offer space to #SayMyName and celebrate those who are still with us, to celebrate the life, joy and strength through naming.

Trans, queer and gender-non-conforming humans often choose a new name or modify their given name. The stories behind naming oneself are rich, thoughtful and full of culture and power.

A baptism.
